Method for treating moldy feed

When feeding meat chickens and ducks, special attention should be paid to the issue of moldy feed. Most moldy feed is caused by poor feed quality or inadequate storage environment. After the feed becomes moldy and spoiled, a large amount of mold will be produced. During the breeding process, mold will secrete harmful toxins to poultry, commonly known as "mycotoxins".

But many breeders overlook this issue, leading to a series of adverse consequences. In recent years, there have been many similar cases, and the clinical manifestations of poultry are often significantly reduced feed intake, poor growth, sparse feces, and in severe cases, chronic poisoning symptoms. If preventive measures are not taken in a timely manner after the above symptoms occur, the condition will further develop, leading to severe immune suppression and greatly reduced resistance in livestock and poultry, which in turn will increase the susceptibility and pathogenicity of other diseases, such as mild avian influenza, Newcastle disease, infectious bursal disease, Escherichia coli disease, chronic respiratory diseases, etc.

Specific preventive measures: (1) Drinking 1:2000 copper sulfate, or mixing 0.4% pine mold with feed, or using 5000-8000 units of streptomycin per poultry, twice a day.

(2)Use immunomodulators or traditional Chinese medicine "Si Jun Zi Tang" to enhance immunity.

(3)Immediately stop feeding moldy and spoiled feed, isolate and store non moldy feed in a ventilated and dry place, and treat moldy feed with montmorillonite or other antifungal agents that have the ability to remove mold and toxins.

We suggest using montmorillonite for mold removal treatment. Montmorillonite is a new type of feed additive with various functions such as mold removal, and has been included in the single raw material catalog of feed.
